Everything you need to know about listing your resource in the MovingPictureCars Production Database.

📷 Photo Guidelines

Upload up to 10 photos. The more angles and details you provide, the more likely a production will inquire about your resource.

All images are automatically formatted to a standard 16:9 widescreen frame. Portrait and square photos are preserved in full — a softened background fills any extra space so nothing gets cropped.

Be specific and detailed. Productions search by visual description, so include details that matter on camera — textures, colors, condition, era, style, and any unique features.

Use paragraph breaks to organize your description. Formatting is preserved exactly as you type it.

Keywords and tags help productions find your resource. Think about what a location scout or prop master might search for — terms like "mid-century," "weathered," "industrial," or "Victorian."

✅ How Verification Works

We keep our database current through a simple verification cycle:

STEP 1 — SUBMISSION

You submit your listing with photos, description, and contact info. Your listing is marked NEW and enters our review queue.

STEP 2 — APPROVAL

The MovingPictureCars reviews your submission for quality and completeness. Once approved, your listing goes live and is marked VERIFIED.

STEP 3 — EVERY 6 MONTHS

You'll receive a verification email asking you to confirm your resource is still available. One click confirms it — no login needed. Verified listings rank higher in search results.

IF YOU DON'T RESPOND

After the verification period, unconfirmed listings are marked STALE. They remain visible but flagged so productions know availability is unconfirmed. You can re-verify at any time.

📬 What to Expect After Submitting

Your contact info is private. It is never shown publicly on the site. Only the MovingPictureCars admin team can see your name, email, phone, and address.

Productions will contact you directly. When a production is interested in your resource, the MovingPictureCars will share your contact information with them so they can reach out to you to discuss availability, scheduling, and terms. Be prepared to respond promptly — productions often work on tight timelines.

You'll receive emails from us for:
· Verification reminders (every 6 months)
· Any questions about your listing during review

You may also hear directly from productions by phone or email once your info has been shared. These are legitimate inquiries facilitated by the MovingPictureCars.

You can update your listing anytime using the edit link included in your verification emails. No account needed.

PRODUCTION RESOURCE DATABASE

1. Directory Service Only

The MovingPictureCars Production Resource Database ("the Database") is an informational directory provided as a courtesy to the film, television, and media production community. MovingPictureCars ("MPC") acts solely as a facilitator connecting resource owners with production professionals. MPC does not inspect, endorse, guarantee, or warrant any resource listed in the Database.

2. No Warranty or Representation

All listings are provided "as is." MovingPictureCars makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, safety, condition, legality, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability of any resource listed in the Database. Verification badges indicate only that the resource owner has confirmed the listing's availability within the preceding six months — they do not constitute an inspection, endorsement, or quality guarantee by MovingPictureCars.

3. Independent Transactions

All arrangements, agreements, and transactions between resource owners and production companies are made independently and at the sole risk of the parties involved. MovingPictureCars is not a party to any agreement between a resource owner and a production. MovingPictureCars shall not be liable for any disputes, damages, losses, injuries, or claims arising from the use of any resource discovered through this Database.

4. Contact Information Sharing

By submitting a resource to this Database, you consent to MovingPictureCars sharing your contact information with production professionals who express interest in your resource. You understand that productions may contact you directly to discuss availability, scheduling, terms, and logistics. MovingPictureCars is not responsible for communications or conduct between you and any production.

5. Resource Owner Responsibilities

By listing a resource, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the legal owner or have authorization from the owner to list the resource; (b) all information provided is accurate and current to the best of your knowledge; (c) you will respond to verification requests in a timely manner; (d) you are solely responsible for negotiating terms, pricing, insurance requirements, and any agreements with productions; and (e) you will maintain appropriate insurance and safety standards for your resource.

6. Production Responsibilities

Productions accessing this Database understand that: (a) they are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence regarding any resource; (b) they must independently verify condition, safety, suitability, and legal compliance before use; (c) they are responsible for obtaining appropriate insurance, permits, and agreements; and (d) any reliance on listing information is at their own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the MovingPictureCars, MovingPictureCars, its operators, and their respective officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from: the use or inability to use any resource listed in the Database; any transaction between a resource owner and a production; any personal injury, property damage, or other harm related to any listed resource; or any inaccuracy or omission in any listing.

8. Indemnification

Users of this Database agree to indemnify and hold harmless MovingPictureCars, MovingPictureCars, and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from their use of the Database or any transaction facilitated through it.

9. Content and Removal

MovingPictureCars reserves the right to remove any listing at its sole discretion, for any reason, without notice. Submission of a resource does not guarantee publication. MovingPictureCars may edit listing content for clarity or formatting.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of its operators. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of its operators.
